Power Rankings: Day 2

#7 Zuke

Manager: Zuke

MVP: Darius Leonard

Best Add: J.J. Watt

Breakout: D.K. Metcalf

Unfortunately these rankings have not been particularly nice to Zuke; and neither has my father. I can’t imagine how it’s been after those two brutal losses, I truly feel for you. Whenever I lose in something to my Dad, which is usually once every few years, he’ll never let you forget. Nevertheless, the past is the past, let’s focus on now. I’ll dive into his roster, though I understand his team will likely be looking very different in a few weeks.

Zuke’s quarterbacks are solid, but nothing special. Stafford and Ben have high ceilings, but have major injury concerns. I love them both as #2’s, but not sure they’re good enough to be reliable starters anymore.

Running back is Zuke’s strongest position. While overrated, Barkley is still a clear top 5 running back with huge upside. David Johnson is a nice boom or bust backup as well.

Zuke’s wide receiver corps is middle of the pack. Tyreek is a stud. Metcalf isn’t proven, but should produce as Russ’s arguably #1 target this year. A.J. Green is a huge question mark.

Tight end is a struggle for Zuke. Hooper was 2019 hype. Baker doesn’t throw to the tight end, and that offense has too many better weapons. Smith is a solid sleeper.

I am a fan of Zuke’s kicker selection. Koo was terrific down the stretch last season in a productive offense.

This defense looks like something you’d find on the side of the road, slap some paint on it and maybe some shiny knobs, then sell it for 3 dollars- All kidding aside!, Zuke’s defense has big names, but will likely become middle of the pack when it comes to production. Leonard is an absolute star and is my selection for the 2020 FFL defensive player of the year. Bush’s stats may lack in a top-tier defense. Adams is good, but not sure what his stats will look like in Seattle. Donald and Watt are sack machines if they can stay healthy.

Overall, Zuke has some stars to build around- Barkley, Hill & Leonard-, but may need to improve his role players. QB and TE will likely be Zuke’s weakest positions coming into this year. This roster has potential, let’s see where he’ll take it… Hopefully not into second place again. Haha, good luck!
